Band Bio
Soulsmith, a three piece band with a difference. Whilst using just a simple rock backline, Soulsmith attempt to do things with this simple arrangement that other bands seem to have missed.
By pushing harmonic, melodic and rhythmic boundaries, Soulsmith has looked at rock music from a different perspective. With a fast-growing fanbase, Soulsmith has been very busy writing new material for their debut 'tour' of the area, consisting of alot of pub gigs and also making a few festival appearances throughout the year.
Soulsmith started life as a 'friendly jam' between drummer Anthony Henderson and guitarist Mike Anstey, originally to start an acoustic band. It soon became apparent that a bassline was missing, so Paul Yallop was introduced - and Soulsmith was born.
After one practise, Soulsmith was really taking shape, and the band had become alot heavier and angst-ridden than when it first took shape. It was clear that this band was going to be one to watch over the next few years.
So, after extensive writing and practising, Soulsmith started gigging (with fantastic response so far), and are recording a new EP, which will be on sale at gigs in the future.
